While the much hyped snow by some was pretty much a bust in the lowlands of Central Virginia, that wasn’t the case in the higher elevations at places like Wintergreen Resort. But even there it was a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow totaling about 3-4 inches.

The rest of this week will be cold but no chances for any wintry weather to speak of. By late into the weekend we finally get back to more seasonal temps you’d expect to see for the final days of winter. Spring officially begins March 20th at 6:29 AM EDT.
